10 months and still waiting

I READ with interest the front page report “From doctor to waiter’’ (The Star, March 30), and would like to share my experience as an overseas graduate seeking medical registration with the local medical council.

I returned home 10 months ago with almost five years’ overseas working experience following my graduation from a university in New Zealand. I worked in multiple hospitals/GP clinics across New Zealand and also spent one-and-a-half years working with a private medical group in Singapore as a GP.
