SOME countries observe Earth Day around the time of the March Equinox while others do so on April 22.
Earth Day aims to raise the awareness and appreciation of the earth’s environment. It was founded by Senator Gaylord Nelson in 1970 to promote the ecology and respect for life on the planet as well as to encourage awareness of the growing problems of air, water and soil pollution.
