I REFER to the report, “Increase minimum wage to RM1,500” (The Star, March 2) in which the Transport Workers Union secretary general, Tan Sri Zainal Rampak was reported as saying that RM900 (RM800 in Sabah and Sarawak) is insufficient presently considering the high cost of living.
He was also quoted as saying that RM900 was nothing these days, especially for workers who had families.
