The shining qualities of squash queen Nicol

I REFER to the report “Nicol David makes history” and “Nicol marks record as world No 1 with easy win over Nour El Tayib” (The Star, Feb 3)

Malaysia is very fortunate to have an outstanding squash queen Datuk Nicol David who created history in retaining her World No1 player status for 106 months (almost nine years), which is an incredible achievement for our country and we can all be proud of this after all the gloom and doom of our struggling economy.
