Kudos to our rescuers

I SALUTE the magnificent rescue efforts of our uniformed personnel from the army, navy, air force, police and the fire and rescue department who, tirelessly and at the peril of their own lives, braved the raging waters, torrential rain and high winds to bring to safety those stranded by the floods as well as bring food, water and medical aid to those in inaccessible areas.

These rescuers are never featured in the media; they remain incognito – recognised only by their uniforms.
