Language cannot be mastered overnight


DESPITE all attempts to address the declining standard of English among students, it has come to nought. This has prompted the Education Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to drop the bombshell that a pass in English is required for students to graduate at all public universities.

Many prominent individuals gave their views on this with some saying it is like putting the cart before the horse while at the same time welcoming the about-turn policy for the good of the students and the country.
