THE recent heart wrenching TV programme, Banduan Akhir, Mesej dari Penjara should make us think again about the immorality, injustice and utter futility of putting someone to death as a lesson to others.
As was pointed out by Dr Salmi Razali in “Dont’t punish helpless woman” (The Star, Aug 26), it is important for law enforcement agencies and indeed for all of us, to try to understand the totality of the person who is accused of a serious crime, instead of only looking at the crime in isolation.
