IT is commendable that the Education Ministry has ensured that the Aptis test (an English assessment administered by the British Council) administered to English teachers nationwide at the beginning of the year was professionally carried out compared to the Cambridge Placement Test (CPT) which was administered “dubiously” two years ago.
Briefing sessions explaining the nature of the test and its objectives were given to teachers months before the actual test.
