I REFER to the letter “Given free rein to cheat employers” (The Star, July 24) by Frustrated Employer. Previously, employers had the option of getting foreign maids on their own without having to use employment agencies.
However, this year, the Immigration department came up with a ruling that only employment agencies could submit applications for foreign maids.
