MANY believe that security needs to be beefed up at our LRT stations in view of rampant and widespread occurrences of snatch thefts and armed robberies, not only at the stations but in their vicinity as well. Statistics released are unrealistic as there are far more cases not reported for whatever reasons.
Based on feedback from resident associations and other non-governmental organisations, there are unending instances of crime committed at such locations with the perpetrators getting away scot-free despite tightened police surveillance.
