Verify Thai rain-making claim before implementation

I REFER to the report “Looking to Thais for help” (The Star, April 23) where the Selangor government said it intends to use the Thai “rain-making” technology to ease the water crisis.

After going through the literature available on the Net about this “technology”, I find there are no published papers on this subject, except for repeated claims that the Thai king developed the rain-making technology several decades ago.
