Not proud about 35% non-revenue water rate

I REFER to “Water shortage saga only getting worse” (The Star, April 16). Are we not embarrassed that the non-revenue water (NRW) rate for Kuala Lumpur in 2011 was 35% as compared to Shanghai 17%, Hong Kong 25%, London 28% and Singapore 5%?

The population of Shanghai and Hong Kong are about 12 million and six million respectively and both have many more buildings than Kuala Lumpur and their NRW rates were far better than ours in 2011.
