Higher deposit due to surge in power use

I REFER to the letter “Unfair for TNB to ask for higher deposit” (The Star, April 15) about the imposition of higher deposit by TNB after increasing tariff recently.

I experienced the same thing a couple of months back. During a particular month, we had higher usage of electricity than normal for some reason. That was the only month that my electricity bill was 50% more than the normal usage since I lived in my current home from 2003.
