Way forward is to go overseas

I REFER to “ Khairy confident Malaysia will be a powerhouse” (The Star, April 4). I feel he was kidding when he said that within the next 10–15 years Malaysia can become a football powerhouse in Asia with the implementation of programmes like the National Football Development Programmes (NDFP).

Even if all the stakeholders, including the Education Ministry, Sports Ministry, and the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) contribute their heart and soul to it, it is still an almost impossible dream to achieve.
