BOGOTA, Oct 19, 2015 (AFP) - A small plane crashed Sunday into a bakery in a crowded area of Colombia’s capital, killing four people and injuring several others, authorities said.

The early morning Beechcraft 60 crash rocked the Engativa neighborhood, not far from El Dorado international airport, just after the plane had taken off for a nearby airfield.

All passengers on the aircraft and the pilot were killed, said a statement from the mayor’s office.

“So far there have been seven people injured who are being treated in hospital,” the statement added.

Firefighters closed off the area and were searching for any possible missing people.
