Earthquake of 6.5 magnitude strikes off Vanuatu - USGS

SINGAPORE (Reuters) - An earthquake of 6.5 magnitude struck on Thursday 87 miles (140 km) northwest of the Pacific island of Vanuatu, the U.S. Geological survey said.

There were no immediate reports of any casualties or damage, nor any warnings of a tsunami.
