JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Sirens warning of rocket attacks continued to sound in southern Israel on Tuesday after a Gaza ceasefire was due to take effect, and an Israeli military spokeswoman said the army was checking whether any rockets had landed in Israel.
Egyptian and Palestinian officials said the truce was to take effect at 7 p.m. (1700 BST).
