BEIT HANOUN Gaza Strip (Reuters) - Palestinian refugees from Israel's Gaza offensive emerged from shelters as a brief truce began on Saturday to find many neighbourhoods destroyed and animals roaming the streets unattended.
The Kefarneh family trudged back to Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip along with other refugees sheltering in United Nations schools to see if their homes still stood.
