KIEV (Reuters) - Student Taras Zagorbenskyy jumped on a bus from western Ukraine as soon as he saw on a social networking site that others were gathering in Kiev to protest President Viktor Yanukovich's walking away from a landmark deal with the European Union.

He is among several thousand protesters, many of them students, drinking tea and keeping warm around fires in oil barrels in the capital's main square.
