(Reuters) - An area of low pressure located over the southwestern Gulf of Mexico, about 150 miles east of Tuxpan, Mexico, now has a 30 percent chance of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours, the U.S. National Hurricane Centre said in its latest update.
The NHC had, in its previous advisory, given a 50 percent chance of the system developing into a tropical cyclone.
