California 'Night Stalker' serial killer dies in prison

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Richard Ramirez, the California serial killer known as the "Night Stalker," has died in prison, a prison official said on Friday.

His death, at the age of 53, was confirmed by a spokesman for California's San Quentin prison, where Ramirez had been on death row. The spokesman, Samuel Robinson, did not immediately disclose the cause of death.
