BAGHDAD (Reuters) - A series of car bombs exploded in markets and shopping areas in mainly Shi'ite neighbourhoods across Baghdad on Monday, killing at least 17 people, police and hospital officials said.
Sunni Muslim Islamist insurgents and al-Qaeda's Iraqi wing have increased attacks since the beginning of the year and often target Shi'ite districts to try to trigger a wider sectarian confrontation.
