MEXICO CITY: Noe Hernandez, who won the race walking silver medal at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, died of a heart attack in central Mexico on Wednesday, two weeks after being shot in the head in a bar.
The 34-year-old ex-athlete died on his way to a hospital after he suffered two heart attacks in his home, the Mexico state government said in a statement.
