Canada to provide transport plane for anti-rebel campaign in Mali


OTTAWA (Reuters) - Canada will send a military transport plane to provide temporary support for a French campaign against Islamic rebels in Mali, a senior Canadian official said on Monday.

The official told Reuters that a giant C-17 cargo aircraft would "provide heavy-lift logistical support for one week." The official did not give further details.
