THE parents of an Indonesian maid accused of murdering her employer will come to Singapore to aid investigations, a district court heard.
Dewi Sukowati, 23, is alleged to have murdered 69-year-old socialite Nancy Gan at her Victoria Park Road home on the morning of March 19.
Gan was found dead in her swimming pool with wounds to her head.
Lawyer Mohamed Muzammil said the investigation officer had requested for her parents to come to Singapore later this month to be interviewed by the psychiatrist evaluating her.
Mohamed also said he hoped for Dewi’s age to be verified, telling The Straits Times that there was a dispute over her actual age. — The Straits Times/ Asia News Network
