POLICE arrested a 21-year-old Singaporean man for suspected involvement in a spate of robberies and snatch thefts.
The man, over a week in September, allegedly terrorised senior citizens in the Bishan, Kim Keat and Boon Keng area by snatching their handbags and robbing his victims of over S$600 (RM1,535).
Two of his victims suffered fractures on their shoulder and hand.
For the offence of robbery with hurt, he faces a jail term of between five and 20 years and not less than 12 strokes of the cane. — The Straits Times/Asia News Network
