Singapore will have four new green corridors to facilitate the movement of animals between green spaces. And the National Parks Board is roping in the community to create these linkages, called Nature Ways, by growing bird- and butterfly-attracting plants in homes, along roads and within buildings.
A community initiative to create the Kheam Hock Nature Way was launched yesterday, with Minister for National Development Khaw Boon Wan joining residents to plant a Nipis Kulit tree, a native bird-attracting tree.
