PETALING JAYA: Malaysia has one of the most stringent rules in the region when it comes to operating escalators and travelators, according to Antah Schindler Sdn Bhd chief operating officer Lee Wei Jye.
“It is compulsory for DOSH (Department of Occupational Safety and Health) to inspect all commercial lifts and escalators every 15 months in order to renew their operating licences,” said Lee.
