Shafie: Muhyiddin has right to speak at Umno meet

PETALING JAYA: It is not appropriate for Umno to defy convention by denying the deputy president the right to address the party’s three wings in the joint opening of the Wanita, Youth and Puteri wings’ annual general assembly, says vice-president Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal.

Shafie said, while he respected the decision taken by the party supreme council, he felt that the move was unwise as it would also deny the people, not just Umno members, the right to hear what the deputy president had to say.
