GEORGE TOWN: More than 1,700ha in land reclamation have been proposed during the eight years of Pakatan rule in Penang if the latest plan to create man-made islands on the southern coast is included.
Penang Barisan Nasional chairman Teng Chang Yeow said this was in comparison to 1,246.7ha approved by Barisan during its 40-year rule of the state, adding that the agreement for about 650ha had lapsed.
