Dengue deaths tripled this year

GEORGE TOWN: The number of deaths caused by dengue this year in Penang has spiked to 14 compared with five deaths during the same period last year up till Oct 31.

State Health Department director Datuk Dr Zailan Adnan said among the top Aedes breeding grounds were vacant spaces which saw an alarming 35% of sites tested positive for Aedes larvae.
