BEIJING: Malaysia’s visa-free programme for Chinese tour groups cannot be implemented just yet. This is because the Chinese government has not responded to Malaysia’s initiative, says Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed (pic).
Therefore, all Chinese tourists still have to apply for visas to visit Malaysia now despite the Cabinet’s decision to introduce a six-month exemption for the tourists who arrive in groups of 20 and more from October to March. The Deputy Home Minister said the Malaysian embassy in Beijing was engaging with the Public Security Ministry on this issue for the past month.
