PETALING JAYA: Judy Blacious Pereira (pic), who was involved in the detention of five lawyers trying to do their job in 2009, has to overcome yet another setback in his attempt to practise law in Ipoh.
In July, one Court of Appeal panel decided that he could practise law after dismissing the Bar Council’s appeal against Ipoh High Court judge Justice Lee Swee Seng’s decision in December to allow his admission to the High Court of Malaya after he attended eight hours of human rights programmes by the council or Perak Bar Committee.
