Rahman: Dr M’s ISA arrests worse than Sosma’s

PETALING JAYA: Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan has rebuked Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad criticism of the use of Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012 (Sosma), alluding that the former premier’s tenure was worse when the defunct Internal Security Act (ISA) was in place.

“People do remember his ISA and the ‘colourful’ 22-year tenure as PM. Enough said!” said the Barisan Nasional strategic communications director, in an apparent reference to the Ops Lalang where 106 individuals were detained without trial in 1987.
