Four Navy officers claim trial to RM1.34mil graft charges


IPOH: Four Royal Malaysian Navy officers, including a married couple, claimed trial in two Sessions Courts here Thursday to separate corruption charges amounting to RM1.34mil.

Former Lumut Naval Base supplies depot commanding officer Kapten Abdul Aziz Gaffor, who is already facing trial for seven charges under Section 165 of the Penal Code, was slapped with another five charges under the Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorism Financing Act 2001 amounting to RM840,000.
