Govt to convince Khazanah and Petronas on TPPA concessions

PUTRAJAYA: The Government will seek the approval of the boards of Khazanah Nasional Bhd and Petronas on the concessions Malaysia has won in the just-concluded Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA) negotiations in areas considered sensitive for the government-linked-companies.

International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed said its team of negotiators was able to make a headway on the chapter on state-owned enterprises (SOEs) – considered as the toughest issue for Malaysia – at the TPPA ministerial negotiations in Atlanta.
