KOTA KINABALU: More than 1,000 people were left homeless in a fire which destroyed 103 houses in Kg Simunul, Semporna’s most notorious sea settlement village.
Firemen took over eight hours to put out the fire which is believed to have started at one of the wooden stilt houses during a power blackout at about 7.30pm on Saturday.
