PETALING JAYA: Malaysia is sending an additional infantry battalion and an engineering unit for UN peacekeeping operations.
Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein (pic) said on Sunday that this was on top of the 920 Armed Forces personnel already involved in peacekeeping missions in Lebanon, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Western Sahara, Liberia, Darfur and Abyei.
