PETALING JAYA: A Malaysian who passed away in Mecca on Thursday was not killed in the stampede, said Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dasuki.
“What I can confirm is that a UITM Terengganu lecturer, Siti Haryati Shaikh Ali, has passed away due to breathing complications that were unrelated to the stampede,” said Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department in a press conference in Mecca on Thursday.
