KUALA LUMPUR: The implementation of Syariah law here will only be successful if the state is not allowed to claim authority on it, said Islamic Renaissance Front chairman Datuk Dr Ahmad Farouk Musa.
Ahmad Farouk said many want to set up an Islamic state because they believe it is the most just of states, but added that they missed a key component.
