ALOR SETAR: Authorities seized smuggled goods worth RM38mil as of August this year, more than double the figure of RM18mil for the whole of last year.
The seizure – including goods worth RM26mil in illicit cigarettes and liquor and RM9.6mil in smuggled cars – comes as the Anti-Smuggling Unit is being upgraded to a Border Security Agency.
