Two-week remand for man who slapped national mosque imam

KUALA LUMPUR: A foreign national who was reported to have slapped an imam and tried to lead Friday prayers at the National Mosque has been remanded for two weeks, beginning Saturday.

Dang Wangi police chief ACP Zainol Samah said the 31-year-old man, from Kashmir, India entered the country on a social visit pass on June 18, which has since expired.
