NANNING: Malaysia needs to move beyond durians and bird’s nest and actively explore new sectors for economic co-operation with China to achieve the trade goal of US$160bil (RM676.9bil) by 2017, said Datuk Seri Ong Ka Chuan.

“We can move beyond the export of durians and bird’s nest, and, for instance, start to look at the automobile and oil and gas industries,” he said after launching the Malaysian pavilion at the 12th China-Asean Expo (Caexpo) here in Guangxi province, China, yesterday.
