KUALA LUMPUR: MIC Central Working Committee (CWC) member S. Ananthan wants contempt of court proceedings initiated against four party leaders and is applying to a High Court for leave to commence committal proceedings.
In court papers filed, Ananthan said that his application to be an intervener in an earlier judicial review bid by the four, namely Datuk Seri G. Palanivel, Datuk S. Sothinathan, Tan Sri S. Balakrishnan and former secretary-general A. Prakash Rao, was dismissed by the High Court as they allegedly made false statements.
