PETALING JAYA: PAS splinter group Gerakan Harapan Baru is establishing a new Islamist-centred Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) that is open to non-Muslims.
The move was done by taking over the Malaysian Workers Party (MWP) and rebranding it. MWP was founded in 1978 by Ganga Nayar, but has been out of the political scene after the general election in that same year.
