Exhibition on P. Ramlee an apt reminder this National Day

Legend honoured: (From left) The sheet music to the last song P. Ramlee penned, some of the awards that he won and vintage filming equipment that was used by the director are among the memorabilia on display at the Museum of Asian Art at Universiti Malaya.

KUALA LUMPUR: Bujang Lapok will never go out of style. Tan Sri P. Ramlee will be in the spotlight at Universiti Malaya’s Museum of Asian Art with “P. Ramlee – The Actor, The Director, The Lover”.

The exhibition combines art with history, featuring the works of three artists – Stephen Menon, Liu Cheng Hua and Dr Hushinaidi Abdul Hamid – plus artefacts and films from that era courtesy of National Archives Malaysia and National Film Development Corporation Malaysia.
