KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysians should give more generous support to local artists as they could enhance racial unity and boost the economic development of the tourism and cultural sectors of the country, said Socio-Cultural Adviser to the Government Tan Sri Dr Rais Yatim.

He said the works of Malaysian artists, which highlighted the ideas, emotions and stories of local elements on human life, could educate the people in various aspects.
