PETALING JAYA: The law allows for peaceful assembly and authorities should facilitate and not ban Bersih 4.0, says the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam).
In a statement on Friday, Suhakam chairman Tan Sri Hasmy Agam said that following the repeal of Section 27 of the Police Act 1967, the concept of illegal assembly no longer exists in law, and accordingly, cannot be banned.
