Two more detention centres a help, says Esscom


KOTA KINABALU: The construction of two more temporary detention centres (TDCs) in the Eastern Sabah Security Zone (Esszone) can help stem the influx of illegal immigrants in the state, Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom) chief executive officer Ruji Ubi said.

In welcoming the announcement by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi that two more TDCs would be built in Sabah, he said these could accommodate the rising number of illegal immigrants and speed up their repatriation.
