JOHOR BARU: The number of smokers fined for lighting up at designated non-smoking zones in the city area has increased despite signages put up at such places.
State Health and Environment committee chairman Datuk Ayub Rahmat said 2,978 smokers were fined in the first six months of the year, compared with 5,750 smokers for the whole of 2014.
